Terms of Service

tta1 turns web pages, pasted text and, on paid plans, uploaded PDFs, Word documents, text files and screenshots into spoken audio. It can translate content into the language you choose before reading it aloud. The text extraction, translation and voices are produced by automated systems, including AI models, so the result may sometimes leave out, misread or mistranslate parts of the original.

tta1 is a listening aid. Don't rely on its audio or translations where accuracy matters (for example legal, medical, financial or safety information) without checking the original.

• You need an account to create readings. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google.
• Give us accurate details and keep your password secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to use tta1.
• One person per account. Don't share, sell or transfer your account.

"Your content" means the links, text and files you submit, and the readings, translations and audio made from them. You keep whatever rights you have in your content. You give us permission to fetch, store, process, translate and convert it to audio, and to pass it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy, only as needed to run tta1 for you.

You promise that you have the right to submit your content and to have it read aloud to you. In particular:

• Only submit pages, documents and images you're allowed to access and use.
• Readings are for your own personal listening. Don't publish, sell or redistribute audio made from material you don't own or have permission to share, including downloaded MP3s.
• Don't submit content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's copyright, privacy or other rights.

Your readings are private to your account and are not published or shared with other users. You can delete a reading at any time, which removes its text, translations, audio and cover image.

You agree not to:

• use tta1 for anything illegal, harmful, harassing or deceptive, including making audio to impersonate a real person;
• try to get around plan limits, quotas or the paywall of a site you submit;
• scrape, overload, probe or interfere with tta1, or access it by automated means other than the website;
• reverse engineer tta1 or resell access to it;
• submit malware or files designed to harm our systems or our providers'.

Each reading is capped at 16,666 words, and uploads have size limits shown when you add them. We may refuse to fetch a page, or limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.

• tta1 measures usage in words read aloud. Free accounts get a one-time welcome credit and a monthly allowance. Paid plans (Plus and Pro) include a larger monthly allowance and extra features such as uploads and MP3 downloads.
• Words are only used when audio is generated. Replaying audio you already have is free.
• Monthly allowances refresh each month and unused words don't carry over. Top-up words never expire and are used after your monthly allowance.
• Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay and may include or exclude taxes as shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't see or store your full card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Account page, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
• We may change prices or plan allowances. Changes to an existing subscription apply from your next billing period, and we'll tell you before they take effect.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights, or similar rights you have under the laws of your own country.

Apart from those rights, payments for subscription periods and top-ups that have started or been used are not refundable. If something went wrong with a charge or a reading, contact us at [email protected] and we'll look into it.

We work to keep tta1 running well, but we can't promise it will always be available, error free, or able to read every website or file. Some sites block automated access or sit behind logins and paywalls. We may add, change or remove features, voices, languages or providers. If we stop offering tta1 altogether, we'll give you reasonable notice and refund any unused prepaid subscription period.

tta1, including its software, design, voices and branding, belongs to PIXEL ONLINE and its licensors. These terms don't give you any rights in it beyond using the service as described here.

To the extent the law allows, tta1 is provided "as is", and we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or opportunity, arising from your use of tta1. Where our liability can't be excluded but can be limited, it is limited (at our option) to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again, and in any case to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You can stop using tta1 at any time, and delete your account from your Account page. Deleting your account cancels any subscription straight away, permanently deletes your readings and their audio, and forfeits any remaining words, including top-ups. If you can't sign in, email us at [email protected] from the address you signed up with. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, with notice where reasonable.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know by email or in the app. If you keep using tta1 after a change, the new terms apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts that can hear appeals from them.
